Im vibrating!
Sep 28, 2009
Hello, (Im new here.)

Brief history of my MS: I lost the vision in my right eye early October 2007. I was diagnosed with Right Eye Optic Neuritis. I had an MRI soon after...and it showed suspicious lesions...which indicated that I had MS. I was diagnosed with MS late October 2007 (On my 19th birthday!!). I've also experienced numbness on my face and on the right side of my body.

Medication...I started off with Avonex once a week. I was on Avonex for 7 months until I couldn't take it any more. The side effects were too much. Then I was on Rebif...same story couldnt handle it.

Currently I've been off medication for almost 9 months...I had my most recent MRI last week and am waiting for the results.

Recently for the past 3 weeks...I've been feeling weird vibrations throughout my body. They dont hurt but feel like a weird buzzing. I notice it more when I bend my neck down. Would this mean I have a new lesion? Does it go away? Any replies would be helpful.
Thanks

Hi,

Just to throw my two pennies worth in. I too buzz and vibrate throughout my body, mainly in my legs and also like you when I bend my neck forward I get it down my back. I cannot say they are painful but just annoying. I have no lesions on my spine but lots in my brain. I however still do not have a definate diagnosis of MS, all my test are ongoing.
I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your baby. As a mother I can only imagine how devastating that would be.

Suzie, as I stated before, this can happen when you have no spine lesions....but more importantly, when I was dx, and asked history and physical questions, I was able to say that this had been going on for awhile with me, before I even started having more noticeable symptoms.

The further my doctor delved into my past, the more MS symtoms came out..balance issues- heat sensitivity- and L'Hermittes symtoms were just a few. Turns out with over 50 lesions on my brain, i could have had this for many years before I was diagnosed.....I just ignored the symptoms!

thanks for letting us know that you, too, have had this issue and have not shown any spinal lesions...recent evidence suggests that MS and demylinating diseases can cause this symptom and it isnt always attributed to spine problems..
