Re: Brain MRI
Feb 7, 2012
Hi,

So sorry I didn't write back..I was so sick with a bad cold then went into a Bacterial Infection, then my hussband was sick then my step-son who lives with us...went right through the house!!!

Well, I saw the Nuero doc, and I have to go for Nerve Testing mext week for my hands and regarding my MRI I have to go for a 2nd MRI in 6-months to see if there are any changes. He said if there are changes then that means it is a disease if not then it is due to to aging and migraines....

Here is my MRI report:

FINDINGS:

MR scanning of the brain was performed with signal and axial T1-weighted images, axial diffusion. weighted images, axial T2-weighted images and axial and coronal FLAIR weighted images all without intravenous contrast material. No prior studies are available for comparison.

There is no evidence of inra or extra-axial hemorrahage. There is no evidence of midline shift. There is no evidence of mass lesions. There is no evidence of any area of restricted diffusion.

The ventricles are normal in size and position.

The major flow-voids are preserved.

Tgere are a few nonspecific subcortical foci of increased signal within the right cerebral hemisphere. These are nonspecific in nature. Differential diagnostic possibilities include, but are not limited to, postromatic in nature, migraine headaches, infectous or inflammatory process such as Lymes disease, demyelinating process such as Multiple Sclerosis or Microvascular changes.

IMPRESSION:

Few scattered subcortical foci of abnormalo signal within the white matter of the right cerebral hemisphere. Otherwise unremarkable MRI of the brain.

Well..So I am guessing it is pretty much self explanitory...I have to wait to see what the second one shows and see what the next step is???? What is your thoughts??

Thanks !!

not to worry , I just had to comfort my best friend because she got a MS diagnosis about 1:00 today, she also has spinal issues and for years the doctors blamed everything on her spinal issues , her husband had to get a part time job so that he could pay for her tests, I hope you don't have it,
only your tests and doctors will be able to determine that, lots of luck to you
