Hi everyone,

I thought I would post a quick update.

I last wrote that I had visited the neuro in mid July and that he had requested a MRI of my head and spine. Three weeks after that appointment I headed to a rheumatologist that my GP had requested months earlier. He actually did a full work up (including family history etc) and ruled out fibro, RA, etc.

He noticed that I had less sensation in my right side, and that I had a lack of reflex in my lower right leg. After the full exam, he went onto say not to scare me, but that it could be MS. (Which is what my GP also said it could be) He wanted to do a MRI of the brain and spine and requested that.

To make a long story short, my neuro actually never really did request the MRI as the MRI was ordered by the rheumy (central bookings was kind enough to provide that info) even though I saw him two weeks later...AND my MRI date isn't until late April 2013....And to put the cherry on top, the neuro doesn't want to see me until he gets the MRI results.

I'm so beyond frustrated and ready to give up. I don't think it's fair that the neuro is doing no other testing when the MRI appointment is so far away. Do you guys have any advice on what to do from here?

I hate to ask this, but how expensive is a brain/cervical MRI in the US?

Thanks for allowing me to vent everyone, I really appreciate it!
