Hi and welcome to healthboards. It sounds like you are on the right path towards getting an answer.....

For one thing, you should know with vitamin D levels that low, it could be the explanation you are looking for....and nothing further will come from it. Low D levels can cause exactly what you describe......as for MS- fear not. It wont interfere with raising your son or give you any less of a life. I have 3 kids, work fulltime, go to post graduate college and run a household.....there is nothing I cant do, having MS, that everyone else I know does....so put that out of your head...

But, one thing you should consider is the fact that MS mimics 400 other diseases and can be easily confused with 99% of them. Please make sure if they are ruling out MS, that you are seeing a MS Specialist and no one else to do so.....MS specialists not only rule out MS, but they will take all the appropriate tests to find out what IS going on with you...during the diagnostic phase, a MRI of the brain and spine with and without contrast need to be run every six months- thats how quickly things can change! ok?? Just make sure you are seeing the right doctor while you are investigating this disease. A regular Neuro wont do in this case...

I wish you well. Let us know what your tests say..
Nikki
