... I am wondering the same? I did find a website on Novatrone, which gave a lot of info, but I am also seeking personal experiences too. Hopefully we will find some answers! They want to treat me with a platform therapy like Rebif or Copaxone AND also Chemo. Yuck! Let me know if you learn mor, please! (3 replies)

I know several people on Novatrone, none of them have had similar side effects; in fact having researched it myself, heart disease isnt a side effect of this drug- however its extremely important that the patient is thoroughly checked for any problems prior to starting it. ... Sco... from what I have been told by my neurologists is... steroids can absolutely have a negative effect on your body after prolonged use. I don't know how long is too long, or how much is too much though. Maybe someone here knows? And as for the different chemotherapy options... Cytoxan and Novatrone are two of the most known types of chemo for MS. Again, it is used for progressing forms of the disease, not RR. ... (16 replies)
... cutz... as far as my understanding goes... People with MS have an over active immune system, therefore causing it to attack nerves in the body. The only case where people with MS would have a supressed immune system would be if they are on immunosuppresent drugs like Rituxan and Imuran or Novatrone.
