... Hi Monnie, I wouldn't get too alarmed yet. I believe a normal CK is 80-120. Someone can get a 300 from a hard workout. But Myotonic is Dominant inherited. If, God forbid, she is affected, the good news is: "The lower the CK, the milder the disease". 300 is pretty low. Mine is usually 500 and mine is considered somewhat mild MD. There is a blood test that checks muscle enzyme levels, (CPK test), if there is muscle deterioration the numbers will be elevated, this alot of times is the first test they use to check for muscle disease.
