... Not sure why it is infected, but I would suggest warm, warm water and epsom salts. you can get a clean bucket or a dish pan for this purpose etc would not suggest reusing the dish pan for dishes afterwards... but this might be easier than sitting up on the bathroom vanity counter (2 replies)
