I didn't know where to post this, so will try here. About a month ago, I woke up and went to turn over and was hit with a sharp pain like a hot poker where my hip was against the mattress. I have learned not to move too quickly when I feel this to lessen the pain. If I move slowly, it is not too bad. It feels like the skin area is on fire and lasts a few minutes. It only happens occasionly, maybe once a week and is only in the right hip. It almost seems like a pressure pain. I have no problem during the day and have never had a problem with that hip. I have no idea what is causing this--does anyone else?
I cannot sleep on either side as I have severe pain in both my hips. Also If I go to stand up to fast it feels as if my hips pops out of place. This really doesn't happen but it does feel that way. The pain is sharp and sometimes feels like a burning sensation. I get so much inflammation that I can't even touch my hips at times. I have recently been diagnosed by my Rheumatologist with Bursitis. I believe that you can also see an Orthopedic Doctor for this condition. I am not saying this is what is wrong with you but their is a possibility. I wish you the very best and will keep you in my prayer's
.

I don't have any pain in my hips so I'm sure it is not joint pain. I haven't experienced it for nearly a week. I wonder if it might be a circulation problem--prolonged pressure over a bony area cutting off blood supply.
