| Hello!
I have been diagnosed with Ulnar nerve entrapment of my left arm at the elbow. I believe I got this from sleeping all the time on my left side at night due to an injury to my right shoulder.
The problem i have is the doctor said he never had good luck with conservative treatments and wants to go right to surgery. I am scheduled for October 2nd. Online I read artcles about surgery being a last resort but he said he has had little success with splinting and other methods so he suggested surgery. He came highly recommended so I am trusting his opinion but was considering a second opinion.
Also, the surgery will be local anesthesia! I am worried because I do not want to know what is going on during the surgery! They said they will give me something to make me feel happy. Laughing gas? He said I can dictate how much I want. Lots!
Thoughts?
Thanks!
