Re: Cymbalta
Jun 1, 2008
Hello Deborah,
Cymbalta is prescription -- Commonly prescribed for reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD) and any other painful nerve conditions.
I have RSD and I'm on 120 mg of Cymbalta everyday and 600 mg of Lyrica. Cymbalta is an anti-depressant but recently approved for nerve pain use. Hope this helps. Rose

I take Cymbalta for neuropathy pain. It is a prescription drug and is an anti depressant. You need to take this for a while for it to help, so keep taking it. I also take another anti depressant with the Cymbalta because it helps me with the pain but doesn't help with my depression. Some anti seizure meds have been found to help with nerve pain also. Good luck!
