My own GP here in england thought I had Guillain Barre Syndrome originally because of the partial paralasis working its way up my body. He sent me to hospital where in the emergency room after three days they said I had unexplained pheripheral neuropathy. When I finally got to see the neurologist he said I had Transverse Myelitis. All the conditions mentioned above say you have tingling and burning sensations in your feet. Over the past ten weeks I have gone from freezing cold, to gritty, to burning, to tingly, currently they are freezing cold when i put them flat on the floor but if i leave them dangling and not touching anything they feel fine. I think my toes are all swollen at the base where they join my foot they just look fatter to me, nobody has actually x rayed my feet I am going to ask about it at my next appointment.
I would mention your pain to the neurologist next time you seem him/her. A GP or chiropodist in England would be a good person to see just to rule out infections so it would do no harm to see a dermatologist or podiatrist.
I hope your feet get better.
