I have had carpal tunnel for 15 years, have had 3 surgeries and I am not diabetic. I am recently diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy in my feet even though I've had it for about 3 years. My doctor, whom I loved a lot, said he didn't think that was what I had. He moved out of state and my new doctor thinks it is Peripheral artery disease in my feet and fingertips. I don't have the usual carpal tunnel pain, it is only in the fingertips from the last knuckle to the tips. Driving is ok unless I do more than about 6 miles from my house. The pain goes to a burning feeling. My feet are swollen in the balls to the tips of the toes. Does this sound like what you have experienced? I was just started on Gabapentin. I was leery about it at first due to the side effects that were mentioned, but so far so good. I have only taken it 3 times. I have strange feelings in my feet. Not exactly sure what is going on. I'm hoping the feeling is due to the arteries trying to open up. I know I have bad posture and I am hoping to remind myself each time I realize I'm not sitting or standing straight.
