... Hi, I am having numbness, tingling, vibrating, buzzing sensations in both of my hands and fingers. I've seen my GP and a neurologist back in January, and they said it was just mild Carpal Tunnel, but I am pretty sure that isn't what is causing this. For one, it only gets bad when it starts to get colder. It starts occurring when my hands start to feel cold. The problem... (0 replies)
... An MRI of my cervical spine showed that I have degenerative disc disease in that area with one disc showing a posterior bulge. There is also bilateral exit foraminal narrowing in the same region. ... (13 replies)
... Hello Ash
Their is a strong possibility that you may have cervical injury. You stated that you had an MRI of the head only. It would be in your best interest to persuade your doctor to order a cervical MRI. Also have you had your glucose checked, as diabetes can also cause these sensation's that you are having. Some of my pain, pins & needles & numbness had first... (1 replies)
... Just one suggestion. You might ask your PC doctor about venous insufficiency, which also causes tingling in the lower extremities and pain in the calves and thighs, but almost always when walking or exercising, rather than when at rest. ... (1 replies)
... I just registered today because I just don't know what to do.
My husband, 33, smoker, weighs about 145 but in otherwise good health has developed neuropathy of sorts. Last May he woke up one day and his legs were BURNING ( bilateral pain, from the KNEES to TOES only) , we played volleyball the day before and thought maybe it was that. So as the days went on the burning got... (3 replies)

... No havnt had any testing yet although going to ask my doctor about having an MRI. I do get some strange tingling sensations on top of my head, although I have noticed I seem to get this strange burning sensation always on the same place on top of my head, its like someones pressing a hot coin against my skull. I think it's highly likely to be MS considering my age and the fact... (2 replies)
... I have been practicing WC law in Connecticut for 20 years and have seen a lot of neck and back cases. With all the hardware in your spine it isnt all that surprising that you are having the shockers. It would seem something is impinging somewhere and the C-spine is a good place to look. You have to ask yourself though, to what end am I going to pursue it? More sx? further... (4 replies)

... Saw my NS this morning. Hands might be a C6 problem, which pre-op MRI did say had a slight buldge, but I did not have any symptoms at that time. He left it up to me if and when I wanted to pursue it - just give him a call and he'll order MRI and EMG (would need both.) He is a sweetie. When I mentioned a neurologist, he scoffed and said they would order a whole bunch of... (4 replies)
... personally,i prefer a neurosurgeon when it comes to my c spine crap, really.they are just a bit more knowledgeable than the average ortho when it comes to the c spine and the brain and the connections of nerve/spinal cord stuff.love my ortho tho, just not for my c spine.one BIG thing here,do you know with 100% certainty that your fusion actually ever took?the reason i am asking... ... Hi, just wondering if you have had an MRI of the lower spine and/or a 3 -5 hour glucose tolerance test, sounds like you have had most of the normal tests though. (7 replies)
... I'm in a tizzy about my condition. I would greatly appreciate a post from you if you have pretty much the same symptoms.
I have bilateral lower leg anterior numbness/tingling (painless). This is my only symptom! I've had an EMG/NCV (neg), an exam (passed everything I was put through, ie, walking on heels, toes, normal reflexes, eyes checked, etc.) by a neuro doc.
