... Could possibly be small fibre nerve damage, the small fibre nerves job is to recognize temperature & pain, if they are damaged they will send incorrect signals to the brain. There are many reasons why this can happen, you should try to find a neuro that is an expert in Peripheral Neuropathy and they will send you off for blood tests to try to find the cause. ... Hi there, i think it would be a good idea to see a neurologist. Although some may not help at all you will have to search for a good doc. I was lucky enough to find a doc that was able to tell me I had neuropathic pain without x-rays, because x-rays do not pick up this condition. So keep persisting, Good luck! (3 replies)
