... Wow..300mg of Elavil??? I would sleep for a week!! I have tried every drug known to man, without any long term pain relief. Currently my doc has me on Oxicodone 30's...3 pills 4X/day, and that just gives me enough relief to work every day. It sucks big time!! ... You may want to see if there is an oncologist who would look into this for you or may know a link between the two. There is probably a lot of blood work that would show (or eliminate) the neuropathy. Also, unfortunately, about one-third of neuropathy is idiopathic (meaning no reason). God bless you also! ... e and they clean the blood and test it for viruses, germs and so forth, then they give it to people who have immune mediated diseases, it is used for Small Fiber Neuropathy but its considered off label and so the insurance tries to find ways for not paying for it, but I think through appeals, help of doctors you can get it. ...
