... My advice is to ask your Dr. to refer you to a pain clinic Dr. The Dr. that I have is understanding of neuropathy pain. Everyone on this board knows this pain we have. It is so hard to describe to people what it is like. Keep trying to find a Neurologist who sticks with you too. I am sorry for your pain. ... (3 replies)

People who don't try Cymbalta or other antidepressants for neuropathic pain because they are afraid of being labeled as a depressed person are possibly cheating themselves of a better quality of life. ... ... There are many medication options if the Lyrica is not controlling the pain. Tricylic antidepressants or drugs like Cymbalta are often very effective for neuropathic pain, and there are others. I have been on Cymbalta and Gabapentin for over a year and so far that combo works for me. ... (9 replies)
