... Bump... I forgot to mention that there doesn't seem to be much swelling, and the left side of my tongue is relatively numb, as well. My bout with the flu is pretty much over. I'm hoping that maybe this is just some dental problem, though the fact that it happened over night leads me to think otherwise. (3 replies)

... Thanks! it was actually believed to be trigeminal neuralgia. It lasted about 3 months, and has since subsided. The condition described in my initial post got much worse over the next few weeks. The numbness turned to crippling pain (think root canal pain) followed by complete loss of feeling on the left side of my face for about 5 minutes, each time. The TN was not... (3 replies)

... which failed than had two apico's that also failed. The tooth was removed and I was fitted with a bridge. I continued having problems along the gums and my dentist told me to "tough it out".......Needless to say I was in search of another dentist. ... (16 replies)
