It just want ease up , this is a daily struggle, it's so annoying to walk on my feet an I dont walk normally like I should , I take gabepentin it don't seem to be doing nothing at all sometimes it may want to ease just a little then it gets back sore than usual, do anyone know of anything that I can do to try to ease the pain, the more I stay of my feet the better they feel... ... My doctor switched me to Lyrica last year. It does work. My copay started at $25. Then it jumped to $100. I asked my doctor to put me back on gabapentin which works just as well but the copay is much less. I have a wired tens machine. It works when you use it.I may check into this sensus thing as it sounds like it works constantly. Being wireless would make it so much easier. (6 replies)
... I have neuropathy in both feet and have had great success with Lyrica. It can cause fatigue at first but once you get used to it , as with most drugs, it goes away. If you have seen commercials for it you also know it can have other side effects, that is just the only one I have noticed. ... Thanks for your reply. I went five days without any alcohol, and noticed a gradual subsiding of tingling and numbness especially during the night. Still there but not as bad. Then last night went out and had five or six drinks. Sure enough early this morning everything was buzzing and numb in the hands. Was able to shake off the numbness in a few seconds but tingling... ... One way to find out is to stop drinking entirely, eat a nutritious diet and see what happens. Some people develop alcoholic neuropathy without having full-blown alcoholism...sometimes it is the first sign of damage. ... I had this several years ago. I saw a podiatrist. He said low B12 can cause the neuropathy and sent me back to my doctor for blood test. As it turned out my B12 was very low but after having done B12 injections for several years B12 is well up but no relief to neuropathy. Changed doctor had me tested for diabetes.
