... Hi there - great thread. I too have what has been diagnosed as small fibre neuropath (idiopathic). Been in hospital for a week and had a battery of tests and no cause can be found. The only long term drug I have been on is Xanax. Does anyone know if this drug can cause this type of allergic reaction bad enough to start the nerve inflamation? Any advice would be so helpful... ... Original Poster. My MRI was with and without contrast of the brain and cervical spine. I get the results tomorrow. In my case I think the first replier is on to something. Neuritis is what this feels like in many parts of my body. I've ordered my records to see what kind of antibiotic they used during the operation. ... Hi there, I'm also awaiting an MRI of the spine, did you get an MRI of the brain? I know w/ MS they say a brain scan and a spine scan are important but I read you can still have Ms w/ no lesions, so thats kinda scary! I hope your MRI is normal and I hope mine is too..I have burning in feet, legs and hands w/ numbness also, that comes and goes, I am having a bunch of blood work... (6 replies)
... Thanks for your reply, I've seen two neurologists, the first one said it didn't seem like MS. The second one is the one who scheduled my MRI "just to be complete". I get the results tomorrow.
