Hi thre k3rr1 - As I've said before bisphosphonates seem to be the first treatment on offer here in the UK. I've been taking Fosamax for 6 months with no noticeable side effects (so far) but in view of your age I think you are right to stop taking them and don't feel your doctors are listening to you (mine isn't either) You need to get another scan - I paid about 65 for a subsidised scan and I think it is about 200 if you go to a private hospital but you still need to be referred by a GP. I am also taking a herbal supplement (based on Indian Ayurvedic medicine) - it's called Reosto and available on the Internet via a company which distributes from the Channel Islands. I don't know if it is doing any good or not but hopefully it is not doing any harm!! There have been several postings here about a supplement called Ezorb (available on-line from California) which sounds quite promising (quite expensive though) so it might be worth search this board for postings about Ezorb. i'm going to wait for my next scan and then may come off Fosamax and take Ezorb plus my herbal supplement. I would try not to worry about pregnancy - if you come off the bisphosphonates now they will clear from your system. Good luck:)
