Hello, i have the results of the DEXA from last week and am very happy with the results...i'm just coping the report i was sent, a comparison of the scan on 6/14/07/ and the original in 06. I guess now they use percentages and there was no femoral head score given. The way the tech explained it to me was they take readings of the femoral head and hip to come up with the score. This also shows me that for every year on strontium there is a 5% or more increase in density. There were no adjustments made for the strontium. It must be working...I'll stick to what i'm doing for another 2 years and see if i can get into the normal rage. take care..phyllis

Bone mineral density is 0.833 g/cm2. There has been an increase in the amount of bone density since the baseline was taken 5/9/06 of 14%. 10% of this increase has been since the previous scan on 5/14/07. This is still in the mild osteopenia range with mild increased risk of fracture.

The bone mineral density of the left hip is 0.811 g/cm2. T score -1.1 and a Z score in the mild osteopenia range. There has been a 13.6% increase in the bone mineral density since the 5/06 study.

Conclusion...mild osteopenia in the lumbar spine and left hip. There has been moderate increase in the amount of bone mineral density since the previous exams.

Hey Phyllis, I am just now reading this. I am so happy for you! Your scores are great! I know you worked hard for that. Thanks for posting your receipe for the wheat bread, sounds delicious. I'll have to try that out. Have a great day, I'll talk with you soon!:)
