... PLEASE TAKE THIS ADVICE TO HEART...There is a specific reason all of us lose bone! When your HIGH CALCIUM (ANYWHERE in the 10 range) shows up in your blood test, that is the best indicator of all about why it is not going to your bones. You also have LOW VITAMIN D, right? When you add your DEXA results to these two symptoms, as well as a PTH intact test (w/elevated PTH... (11 replies)

... I'm sorry, I must repeat this again. The PARATHYROID is what regulates our calcium, not menopausal issues. I have consulted with the world's most knowledgeable doctor regarding this very issue. ... Dear Shewolf, I was on Forteo for about 7 months, and it actually reduced my BMD by 10%, and it brought me down to a -4.8 and my hips to a -3.2. ... Hi Rosegarden & Desertbloom: Thanks for the encouragement. The only tests my doctor didn't do because she feels they're not very reliable are the urine tests. She didn't say why she feels that way, and since she ordered all the other ones I requested (from info received from you great folks on this forum), I didn't argue at that time. The calcium, Vitamin D, phosphorous,... (6 replies)
