... according to my latest CT scan for something else I have a biconcave compression fracture deformity of the L4-L5. This showed on a CT scan last year also. I have no pain and never have had. How can this be? Obviously there is a problem and I need to see someone about my osteo but do I see an endocrinologist or do I see a Dr that specializes in bone diseases including osteo. I... ... I think a DEXA scan is considered the "gold " standard for diagnosis. I had one by CT once that was called a osteo scan and the figures were much worse than 3 years later with the DEXA and I didn't do any meds. I am scheduled for my DEXA next month. My Dr. is not big on osteo meds, at least for me because of intestinal problems. He mentioned Forteo but I cannot afford it with... (14 replies)
