... I was just reviewing the Soloflex WBV (whole body vibration) Platform ad in this month's Prevention mag which mentions recent trials that have prompted the U.S. Surgeon General to suggest WBV therapy as a weight-lifting alternative. It sells for $495 and supposedly only takes 10 minutes a day. I'm going to check out studies on their website, since this seems like a... (7 replies)
... How old are you Pika? I'd very much like to keep in touch with you, in regards to "life after Forteo" if I can use such wording. I'm on my 5th Forteo pen right now, but it never hurts to think ahead. (16 replies)
... I might change my mind. If I can afford it, I will probably discontinue use of the Soloflex WBV and switch to a Juvent at that time, since the vibrations of the Juvent are very different than the Soloflex. ... (16 replies)

Most of the clinical research studies on BMD via vibration therapy were done using the Juvent 1000, so I'm planning to... (3 replies)

Vibration Therapy

... I thought I'd move this into a new thread. The results of one major study on vibration therapy ("Prevention of Postmenopausal Bone Loss by a Low-Magnitude, High-Frequency Mechanical Stimuli: A Clinical Trial Assessing Compliance, Efficacy, and Safety") can be found here http://www.bme.sunysb.edu/bme/people/faculty/docs/crubin/2004-JBMR-recker.pdf Although the overall...
