Most cysts usually do resolve on their own in 3 cycles or thereabouts so your doctor's recommendation sounds completely reasonable. I have read that a hydrosalpinx can be mistaken for an ovarian cyst so that could be the case for yours. But even if that is not the case, these cysts are small and have a very good chance of resolving on their own. So try not to worry and keep us posted.
