Cancer: Cervical & Ovarian Board Index

I had a CT scan without iodine contrast (just using barium...I have thyroid issues). CT scan reported a simple left ovarian cyst, about 3 cm., and a mildly enlarged uterus. Unless my dr. isn't telling me something, it said nothing further about what could be causing the enlarged uterus.

My gynecologist is not willing to rely on the radiologist's interpretation of the cyst as being "simple" and kind of took away my relief by saying we will do a pelvic ultrasound to look at both issues. Like the radiologist cannot be correct. Can the type of cyst be determined by this CT? If there was a mass in the uterus, would it have showed in the CT, especially since I didn't have the IV contrast?

Any response would be appreciated!
