Cancer: Cervical & Ovarian Board Index

No, it's not likely that the dysplasia is coming out. Dysplasia is defined as changes to the cells of the cervix or vagina. These changes are part of the cervix and not anything that can come out without some sort of procedure.

What you're describing sounds like blood clots, which can be normal. But you might want to contact your doctor, just to set your mind at ease.

Have you gotten a second opinion from a gyn/oncologist? These doctors specialize in cancer treatment. While dysplasia isn't cancer, it's best to see a doctor who has more experience with these things.

I'm rather concerned that you're scheduled for a hysterectomy for dysplasia. That seems rather extreme unless other procedures have been tried and have failed. In addition, having a hysterectomy is no guarantee that you won't have a recurrence of dysplasia, especially since the lining of the cervix and the lining of the vagina are virtually the same. With HPV, the virus can affect either of those areas in the same way.

Do a search for cervical dysplasia. There is a lot of great information online about the condition which you should read so you'll be familiar with what is going on. Knowledge is power!

Good luck with everything.
