Cancer: Cervical & Ovarian Board Index

Wed Jan 16 , my doctor performed a colpscopy and determined just by looking, I had cervical cancer. He sent the biopsy marked urgent, but I still may have to wait 2 weeks. My concern is I have constant pelvic pain and on all the cervical cancer web sites they mention this is usually a sign of advanced cervical cancer. Can anyone share if they had pelvic pain and if so what stage of cervical cancer they were diagnosed with. This is really weighing on me and any advise is gratefully accepted.
I was diagnosed with advanced cervical cancer on 1/17. They do not know what stage it is in. They said I will have a radical hysterectomy within the month. And yes I have had constant pelvic pain on my left side. How about you? Can I ask your age?
I will be turning 45 soon, and I thought pretty healthy, about 6 months ago I started bleeding periodically after intercourse, sometimes spotting between periods and my periods were heavy and painful. Regrettably, I have to admit it was 17 years since I had had a pap. I only developed a dull ache in my pelvis in Nov after my pap.

These seem to be the longest days, I am only driving myself crazy letting my imagination go to the worst case. I have two grown children, great husband and lots of family, so I will wait patiently for results and get ready to do battle.

Shamefully, I am grateful I am not alone and thank you for responding. Please keep posting, and my hope for you is they are able to scoop it all out and your good to go.
Well through 2007 every now and then I would have faint bleeding after intercourse. It wasn't very often. Then after my 39th bday (NOV) I had started spotting, it went away the next day, then a few days later I started to bleed and I had pain and have been in pain ever since. But it's a really dull pain. It isn't excruciating. But I do feel pain on my left side, down my leg, and sometimes in my back. I finally got a call today to see the gyn oncologist. My appt is for Feb 4th. I hate the waiting game. But you are right about family. They sure can help.
Is the tenderness and pain in the ovary area and in between? I have been experiencing this for a week straight, 24 hours a day.

Yes my pain is that way. But it's on my left side. I was told by a retired dr it could be many different things. They did find a cyst on my right and left ovaries, but they weren't to concerned about that. But that could be the significant part of the pain. I haven't had enough testing to see if the cancer is causing the pain or the cysts. Either way all that stuff is coming out soon.
I was just diagnosed with cervical cancer. Did you get a pet/ct scan to determine if the cancer has spread? My oncologist will not do a hysto b/c he says that will not kill the cancer or stop the growth. I have to get radiation and possibly chemo. From there, it will depend on how I am reacting to the treatments.

I don't and didn't have any pain...which is weird. Just cervical bleeding. My tumor went undetected for a long time I think b/c it's huge. My docs missed it.

I have had a very bad pelvic pain too and a few months ago I found out I had high risk hpv, I thought that was what has been causing the pain but from research and talking to other people on here hpv doesn't cause that kind of pain... do u have hpv too? or do u think it might be cervical cancer? I'm really worried and the doctors are always so busy so it takes months to get in and have a colpscopy, I have a pain on my left side usually and it kinda feels like cramps but way worse, sometimes I cant even walk from how bad it hurts! I haven't had any bleeding but I cant figure out what the pain is from?
