I'm curious, are you seeing a general ob/gyn or have you been referred to an gynecologist oncologist? I've had 3 LEEP's done. My first was around 2008. I then tested normal on all my pap. Then at the end of 2011 I had another abnormal pap. Had the colpo, came back severe. Gyn proceeded to discuss the LEEP again. I kept repeatedly testing bad. At that point she discussed a hysterectomy with me. I am 28, no children, so I said that was not an option. From there she recommended that I see a gyn onc to get a different view on it. He repeated a pap and the colpo. It just kept getting worse. He also mentioned the hysterectomy, and I said no! So he recommended doing the LEEP under sedation to be more precise on what he was taking. Since then I have been having normal pap results.
I definitely second getting a second opinion, but it might be in your best interest to see the gyn onc, especially with your high risk HPV and the severe dysplasia.
Good luck
