... Hi Pickle eyes! Yes, he said I had squamous cell type. He said they don't do ECC in UK, only in USA, but he did scrape out 40% of my womb in the d & c, and it all came back normal. phew.. he said it was the largest lesion he's ever removed, but that I did have a naturally larger than average cervix, so that might be why. ... Tezza: I hope the procedure went well. What doctors do in these cases is a combination of ablation (freezing or burning) and surgical removal of the affected tissue. Cervical cancer grows very, very slowly, and it is highly treatable. This does not make you feel better right now, of course, but with annual Pap smears and monitoring your daughter should be OK. ... go for my physicals yearly, and have never had an abnormal pap. This past time, went in and was then called to say that my pap came back abnormal. The nurse said they didn't see any dysplasia, but that they wanted to do a colposcopy. I had my colposcopy done yesterday, and the dr took two samples for biopsy at the 6 and 12. ... (7 replies)

... in progress the actual procedure of both colposcope and acid treatment isn't that painful I promise. However, they did follow up paps like every 4 weeks and then they found MORE "abnormals" soooo to make a long story short, I will go back on the 30th to find out if they will need to do yet a 3rd acid treatment... ...
