LEEP Today
Feb 17, 2009
... don't think you should worry, but like someone else just said that is like telling someone to not breath. So the best I can say is learn what you can about your pathology reports, but don't read people's horror stories. Stick with the medical pages. ... (13 replies)
... I'm glad you talked with her and feel alittle better from that discussion. Yes, everyone is different. One thing I've read about bleeding at about 7-10 days is that when the scab falls off or stitches start to discolve sometimes there is a little more bleeding than there had been. I experienced that after my hyst. As long as you aren't filling a pad per hour, you... (3 replies)

... Pepper, I'm so glad the pathology came back showing that you had clear margins! There needs to be some serious celebrating! ... (2 replies)
My LEEP results

... redgl37, I don't know if you know this, but when you go for a second opinion, that doctor should receive copies of all of your reports, lab results, pathology reports, etc. ... (4 replies)
Pathology reports?

... US Pap and LEEP were unremarkable, except for the squamous atypia, which could be the result of irritation, particularly since everything was normal with this report. ... (2 replies)
Pathology reports?
Apr 23, 2008
... So, I've posted that I've been having some problems with bleeding and occasional cramping after intercourse. I'm getting a second opinion because my doctor does not want to do any further investigating. Which I think this deserves. With my history of abnormal paps and ECC's, I'd rather have 2 or even 3 Dr's tell me nothing's wrong. Anyway, here's what they say: Diagnosis ... (2 replies)
... ...I was going to drop the advice to make sure and get copies of EVERYTHING, and read the pathology reports for yourself & ask questions now if you see something you don't understand. I wish I had done this. I wish someone had given me this advice back then, and perhaps I would not be going through some of the things I am going through now if I had. I have found they sometimes... ... Don't be panicky. Even severe dysplasia is 100% treatable. (8 replies)
... Hello Everyone, Okay! I had two samples taken: one had clear margins, no dysplasia. My Endocervical Cutterage (sp?) was also clear of dysplasia. BUT... The other sample came back FOCAL HGSIL (CIN II) with DYSPLASTIC MUCOSA on the margins!! What the H*LL is DYSPLASTIC MUCOSA? How is it different from dysplasia? Should I be worried? It just doesn't sound very... (8 replies)
... I know somewhat where you are at right now. A Stage 1a1 cancer was found on my leep pathology. I had clear margins, and my gyn basically brushed it off as "it's no big deal, nothing to be worried about". ... (1 replies)
... My doctor is a family practicioner but she's done a lot of study into this whole situation. I kind of stumbled on her when I read Suzanne Somers book on natural hormone replacement and wanted more information. During the initial exam, my doctor noticed I'd said I had high risk HPV and was having abnormal pap smears. She asked if I'd be interested in trying this protocol... (13 replies)
... 88Shadow, spunkygal, I want to go see a naturopathic doctor for a second opinion too but I don't know where to find one. Do you have any recommendations? From what I see in the list of doctors of my insurance network, I can tell which doctor is open to alternative medicine! (13 replies)
... The pathology report I do have from the biopsies from the colpo. And the pathologist is the one who wrote the findings. I think that is what you had asked. ... (7 replies)
... Hi Jen, It is hard to say whether the earlier ECC is conflicting or not. The ECC is a blind procedure, so it could be that it *missed* the affected cells. I know it sounds unlikely, but if you go and read any studies regarding ECC you will see varying viewpoints about the accuracy of ECC's. Nonetheless, it is a good way to screen for invasive carcinoma in the canal. ... (3 replies)
... Thanks for your post Karen- The margins were clear. It says "lesional tisue is not seen on the inked fragment edges." And later it says "deep margins are inked blue." It doesn't give any measurements, though. The earlier ECC was negative, it stated "scant fragment of benign endocervix". So this gland (crypt) involvement would conflict with the ECC result? ... Thank you all so much for the positive stories. This board needs to have more of those. :) JB - you mentioned seeing a counselor to help you deal with this. It's a great idea. I've been doing the same even before this whole HPV/cervical dysplasia thing. I'm seeing the naturopathic doc on Wed. We'll see what suggestion she has. I'll keep you posted. In the mean... ... Absolutely you should be under a doctors care when using high doses of any vitamins or minerals. But keep in mind many doctors are so "pharmaceutical" minded that they aren't open to any type of natural methods to heal things. The point here is to get your body's own immune system strong so that it can fight off the HPV virus and the cell changes that it causes. That... (13 replies)
... Hi everyone! Thanks for the replies and homeopathic suggestions. I will definitely ask my doctor about that when I go in for my next appointment. I'm trying so hard not to freak out about all of this. I know that stress plays a big role in the body not getting well. I'm fighting this the best way I know how. It's a day to day thing for me. Somedays I'm fine and feel very... (13 replies)
... I too am sorry you all are facing this. I just want to offer a suggestion of something natural you might try. I'm still in the process of seeing if this works and I posted about it last year in a post called Using Vitamins and Minerals to reverse cervical dysplasia. This protocol was given to me by my doctor - not something I came up with. I've been fighting cervical... (13 replies)
