I had the leep procedure done and at my 3 month checkup pap it had came back and was CIN III- carcinoma in situ. So in aug I had my secound Leep done. Going to a gyn/onc, while it sounds serious and scary (and is), is the best thing for you, not only because of the glandular involvement but because of the DES. ... Hi there again, Well since you do have dysplasia in your canal then I guess you should go with the cone biopsy. I think the most important thing for you to do is to *make sure* you stress over and over again to your doctor that you want to have children in the future, so being conservative is in your best interest. ... ivana i wish you the best, and remember even with multiple leeps there is a low, low chance something will go wrong w/ fertility - i remember reading about some women having 3 and then having babies the next year :) good luck! (14 replies)

My understanding is that they can do multiple LEEPS and even more than one LEEP/cone but the risk of fertility problems (such as an incompetent cervix) increases with each one because it is basically chipping away at the length of your cervix. However, after a LEEP procedure there is something like a 90% chance that no more problems will occur. So, chances are good you won't... (5 replies)
