... The PAP can miss things. I had a PAP as well as colpo and ECC's done two weeks ago...PAP came back normal... ECC's not normal....this is all after cone biopsy for bad stuff, which is why I had the colpo at the same time. The PAP is purely a screening test. I would just wait and repeat the PAP. ... ... Hi KitKat,I understand exactly what you are saying!!You may have needed a cone biopsy instead of the LEEP.That way you would have stood a better chance of getting the dysplasia in one pass instead of possibly having to repeat more procedures! ... (15 replies)

... rtant test that has been determining my course of treatment has been the HPV DNA test...if you test negative for high risk HPV i don't see why he would suggest a cone biopsy...that's a very invasive procedure for mild most I would say a repeat LEEP...discuss this with him or try to get a second opinion! ... ... has dysplasia or AIS, you are definitely a candidate for this! But, if you have AIS, a cone biopsy with clean margins is generally considered the only treatment you need. ... (29 replies)
