... i went for a pelvic ultrasound. had to drink 32 ounces of water and had the external ultrasound and then emptied my bladder for the transvaginal ultra sound with the wand. ... (7 replies)
... I am so sorry that your transvaginal ultrasound did not go well. Yes I agree with you, the internal ultrasound makes it easier to see the ovaries and it makes absolutely NO sense at all that they cannot see the ovaries with the wand. ... (7 replies)
... ruled out the more serious causes, you will be more satisfied than simply being told that you have to live with it. Perhaps the next time you go for an internal ultrasound or a pap smear you might consider taking a couple of Advil about an hour before. Check with your doctor to see if this is advisable. ... ... Last summer during a routine transvaginal ultrasound they found fluid in my pelvis that should not be there. Every two weeks I had to have another ultrasound to see if the fluid would increase or decrease. I had four transvaginal ultrasounds and a CT scan and the fluid was the same. ... (7 replies)

What has he done and what were the results of those tests? Do you know... (7 replies)
... asionally I had bouts of more severe pain. During one of these times I went to the ER where they did a CT scan with contrast and found nothing. They also did an ultrasound and found a very small 1cm simple cyst on each ovary, which they said was unrelated and to ignore it. ... (5 replies)
... Before I had my ultrasound I was extremely tired and had horrible gas and pain on my left side that was worse at night, especially if I laid on that side. ... (4 replies)
... Hi Bonnie  Basically, there are two ways of sampling the endometrium: D&C (which not only samples but also treats) and endometrial sampling (which is inserting a small probe into the uterus and removing a piece of the endometrium). Given that you have a stenotic os (fancy medical term meaning 'sealed cervix'), either of these may prove painful to you without some... (7 replies)
... Hi, so sorry you are going through this.. talk to the doctor - do they just want to wait a few months and then possibly do an endometrial biopsy to rule out endometrial cancer? I too, would want that done. I have a scarred cervix due to an ablation in 2002 and "failed" a hysteroscopy and Saline Ultrasound. Something is in the wall of my uterus and they can't "get in" to...
