... Hi Kayk! This sounds exactly right. You have something a little bit wrong though. When they talk about "severe" what they are talking about is something called "HGSIL" which stands for a "High Grade Squamous Intraepithelial Lesion". So what the heck does that mean right? ... (4 replies)

LEEP then Cone?

... I have had abnormal paps since '07. I went from ASCUS to CIN II in 2008 and had a LEEP. From what I've read a LEEP is supposed to be 90% effective. I saw my doc a few days ago and my PAP revealed HGSIL, he said the I have an "agressive oncogenic form of HPV" so we need to be more aggressive cause the LEEP should've worked.
