Re: I'm back.......
Apr 25, 2004
I think I did conquer my fear, because on the way back I didn't need the Ativan in order to fly. I felt fine. Our second flight home had a lot of turbulence, but I handled that as well. My pdoc says the best way to deal with your fear is to face them and I took his advise and did not cancel my trip and it worked out fine.

Now I have to return to work after being gone quite some time. I am a bit nervous about that, but figure if I can face the terrible fear I had of flying, I can face going back to work. I think I will just feel out of place until I readjust in to my routine. Even coming back from Mexico was an adjustment for me. I think anxiety causes that, change it tough, even change back to what you were used to (if that makes any sense). I guess what I am trying to say is I felt strange being back for a couple of days then got back in to the swing of things. But friends have told me they feel the same way after being gone on vacation. That was my first real vacation in a long long time and it made me realize that I need to take more real vacations and learn to relax!

Better get going for now,

Hope all of you are well!
