I often wake up with a panic attack because, as hry33 said, it's from things that I'm worrying about that are happening later in the day. Test days are particularly bad... My "morning" panic attacks are slightly different than my other ones, in that my face gets far more flushed, I have more of that choking sensation in my throat, my breathing isn't as rapid, though my heartbeat is just as fast, and my abdominal distress feels a bit different. Also, when I wake up with a panic attack, I'm literally paralyzed with fear, and I'm frozen- it takes me a long time to be able to get out of bed and face having to study or write an essay or whatever it may be that I have to do...
