I've been through this already, so I;m kind of used to it. I've also had the nausea too. Any SSRI I've ever been on has made me nauseous. Plus I have that alone... (11 replies)
... Thank you Kaytee:) Last night I was seriously thinking about just staying with Lexapro even though it makes me tired. I thought about it today and went ahead and took the second pill. I guess I will try it out for a few weeks to see how it does first. I just don't like the idea of it being hard to come off of. My doctor did tell me that. I've only noticed my eyes giving me... ... Hey Lori, Today is actually my first day taking it. I skipped my medication last night because I wanted to take the effexor during the day.....instread of at night since it's known to make you nervous. I kind of feel a little jumpy, but I don't know if that is from the medication or just me being worried. My head feels kind of weird....cloudy. Probably the switch. I read... (11 replies)
... This was my brief experience with Effexor XR. As with any drugs the work for some and not for others. I never got through the first two weeks. Even taking it with food I experienced instant nausea, which is not what someone with a panic disorder needs. I was more nervous with the drug than without. Finally I had a fainting spell for no reason, I wasn't even having a panic... (11 replies)
... It will definitely give you energy, many people do well on it, I gave it 3 weeks but couldn't handle the way my heart was racing. Then that would send me into panic attacks, I couldn't even sleep, I could hear my heart beating in my ears & like my head was bouncing on the pillow. I don't seem to do well with SSRI's, I am back on a tricyclic and it has fewer annoying side... (11 replies)
... I was on Efexor for about 2 1/2 years. At the beginning it worked grate for me. Whenever we tried to cut down the dose I used to get a lot of headaches and I was back to square one. Only recently I stopped taking it and went back to Prozac. I wish you good luck with it. It might work for you. It did with me for a long time. (11 replies)
... I spelled the darn name wrong, lol. I've had a long day today....well yesterday....Anyway, that is the main reason he is putting me on give me a little energy. He also says it doesn't cause weight gain(which I've been doing lately). I don't want to gain all of my weight back that I lost:( I know that is not important right now, but it does effect my health. I just... (11 replies)

With the effexor xr, I took it almost 3 weeks, and I was totally hyper all the time & my heart raced all the time. It was like I was in a total panic attack the whole time. But, I've read others here who have been on... (11 replies)
