... imes a day. This means for a child that weighs 40lbs, he is putting out less than a cup of fluid on average each time he potties. ... i wouldnt even question this one! i would save any health problems by throwing it in the garbage and doing what was posted but a rubber sheet down. this happened with us and what we did was immediately throw it away then the new mattress(under 100$) we kept the plastic it came in(or you can ask them so put plastic wrapping around it) we kept on and just put a sheet over that.... ... on a really hot and sunny day (no clouds) take the mattress outside....take a bucket of water and some kind of cleaner (lysol, mr clean etc)...completly drench the mattress....use some clean water to rinse out the cleaner...keep it in the sun the entire day...flip it every hour or two so it'll dry all the way through. ... Hi, another tip you can try is Listerine mouth wash, just make sure its the origianl, after spraying it set it out in the sun to dry. Listerine is a anti-bacterial, it can be used safely in many ways. My dad even cleaned a badly cut hand with it on a daily base, because he couldnt get to a doctor, his hand never developed and infection and healed quickly. (12 replies)
... Here's several different methods...good luck!! 1. Wash with vinegar and soap, put outside in the sun to dry. (diluted white vinegar. Use about 1/4 cup of vinegar to a quart of water) 2. Baking soda 3. Oxy-clean 4. Peroxide & water 5. Windex 6. Incredible (About 5 bucks a bottle) 7. ( Dreft or baby) Detergent and a Shop Vac (12 replies)
