Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) Board Index

Hi I am 21 and just got diagnosed with PCOS a couple of weeks ago. I got tested because my sister has recently got diagnosed with it, and I had several of the symptons. I have been on birth control since I was 17, but over the past year I had been on and off of it several times. The pill has kept me pretty regular on my periods until about the past 6 months. I am getting married in July, and am planning on starting nursing school in January. My fiance and I desperately want children more than anything else in the world. Should we go ahead and start trying to get pregnant now or wait until I finish nursing school in two years? I do have pain in my ovaries occasionaly so this makes me worry that the PCOS is doing more damage and decreasing my chances of having children. I know there are fertility pills that you can take to help, but I am not willing to risk not having children because of school...I am just really struggling with this decision. Please HELP!!!
