Well, if worse comes to worse, you can pick up his insurance whenever you can. Most insurance companies are required to cover pregnancy, regardless of pre-existing condition clauses. It is one of the few exceptions. I was without insurance for the first 2 months of my pregnancy and now that I am on my husband's new insurance (he changed jobs before we found out I was pregnant), they are covering my pregnancy. For now, you can work out a payment schedule for prenatal care with your doctor, but at least the birth will be covered by insurance. If you have a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) benefit with the company, you can budget how much you anticipate paying out of your pocket (they usually start in January) and they allow you to use the money you allocate for medical/dental expenses that you can get reimbursed for relatively quickly, and they take the money out of your paycheck in equal payments spread out over the entire year. That's another option until you can get on his insurance. Good luck!
