This problem isn't going to go away on its own. You can keep lamenting it and look for reassurances that your boyfriend loves you, from him and other people, but reassurances are only going to go so far. Why don't you attack the problem from the root and take public speaking class, or get therapy for social anxiety, or at the very least, read some books on how to be more comfortable around others?

I'm confused about one thing- you say that you have to start being the 'me he fell for'. Were you outgoing and talkative then? My guess is no, so obviously he fell in love with you as you are. So why keep questioning it? I only advise you work on changing it for yourself, so that you don't have to feel discomfort.
