Well, after two months, I don't think it's a matter of finding topics but rather a matter of general compatibility. My ex and I were together for 2 years and we never ran out of things to talk about. My brother, though not a romantic interest of course, is one of my best friends, and we never run out of things to talk about either, because we get along. We talk about whatever's on our minds, whatever's going on in our lives, our views, our philosophies, whatever. When you have true emotional intimacy and compatibility with someone, you don't have to struggle to find things to talk about. It just comes naturally.

Very well put Larrylou'smom. When you really "connect" with someone the coversation comes easily. I can understand shyness or something in the beginning of dating that keeps you from talking a bit, but that's a bit different from running out of things to talk about after only 2 months of dating. This could be a sign that the two of you really are not that compatible.
