I've been dating the same person for about 4 1/2 months now. I find that whenever he is not around I get sad and lonely... I know that people are not supposed to let relationships "run" their lives and take precedence over a lot of things... but I'm just wondering if this feeling is normal. I tend to feel blue when my boyfriend is not with me... and it's only his absence that makes me feel this way.

I think it's normal when you're younger and in your first or second really serious relationship, when it's all still new to you, but with maturity and once the novelty wears off, you will get a more balanced handle on it. Just carry on with your life and remember that balance is the important thing. Don't let the other areas of your life slide. Hang in there.

Sometimes this can happen to me, but as I look back on my previous relationships I notice its only people with whom I have a real vibe with that really affects my thinking clearly and mood when I am not around them. Its kind of like their energy is in harmony with mine and when together our combined energies feed off each other and brightens the day and surroundings. With others its purely a mental relationship that may be just as satisfying though....its just the energy vibe is not there. My wife and I are an example of that, we have no vibe between us and never have. Having a vibe does not guarantee success though, after all we are all still human and have all the human faults and are most likely not able to understand or even take advantage of any type of energy vibe.

I have often wondered what it would be like to meet someone with whom I shared a spiritual vibe with and at the same time be mentally mature enough to feed off that and make it work.

After all...99.9% of the time its the human side of us that gets in the way...
