Have you heard of borderline personality disorder? What you describe isn't bipolar, it's borderline behavior. They have huge fears of abandonment so when there is any sign of something going wrong they will cut people off, pick a fight, etc. I would read about bpd if I were you, there is treatment for it and it can help you realize why you sabotage yourself like that and see things so black/white in relationships.

It is possible to be in a relationship while you work through your issues. In fact, the issues come up when you are IN a relationship, as intimate relationships bring up our deepest issues. However, because you have been abused and your problems run very deep, your partner would have to be very understanding, loving, and patient. If he is this way, then I would say you two have a shot.
