i guess part of me is jealous he will always have that connection with/to her and he never will with me since he cant have kids. how do you deal with your significant others ex spouse??[/QUOTE]

Yes, it is a package deal. I know it's hard, but try your best to not let it get to you. In fact, many ex's like to play "games" when out in public....Little comments, or "looks" / glances....That kind of thing. The best way to deal with it I think is to just be very nice and cordial, smile, and try to be as pleasant as possible. Like the saying goes, "don't let them see you sweat." The more you can be cordial and act like it doesn't bother you, the more she'll be a non-factor. If she thinks she's getting to you, then she may turn up the heat on you and play even more games.

Do just the opposite of what she wants....If she wants attention, don't give her any. If she wants you to stay in the background and not participate, don't....Be cordial and outgoing when you see her....These type of things. It will get her to back off and stop playing games. The child should always come first, not the games.

Best of luck to you in dealing with this....I know it's hard, and justifiably so.

Regards,

Ex (no pun intended)
