Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD) (CRPS) Message Board

Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD) (CRPS) Board Index

Hi msdrea

One of the frustrating things I have learned about RSD is that there is no magic bullet. No one thing works for everyone with RSD. Physical therapy, meds, and blocks are the standard treatment for RSD but if that doesn't work other treatments like epidural infusions or a spinal cord stimulator can be tried. I don't think that's something most PCP's do though. I would find a good pain management doctor. Ask you doc for a referal or go to a teaching hospital. He will be able to offer you more than your PCP can. My doctor is an hour away, up to 3 hours with traffic (you know how the California commute can be) but it's worth the drive for the care I'm receiving. I'm sure others on the board with more experience can offer you more about possible treatment options.

Good Luck
Gina :)
