Hi Kaity,

I'm sorry you might have RSD. I know how much it stinks. I've had it since I was 15 and I'm now 33. Andrea gave you good advice. If you're not already seeing a pain management doc, that's the place to start. He/She might give you medicines or do lumbar sympathetic blocks or send you for physical therapy. When they do a block, they put a needle in your back where the nerves that are affecting your foot start and inject medicines in the hopes of quieting down the sympathetic nervous system which is overactive right now if you have RSD. The earlier you're diagnosed and treated, the better your chances of quieting down the RSD is. Also, the fact that you're young also helps you. Some research has shown that young people who get RSD have a very good chance of getting the RSD into remission. Good luck and keep us posted on what you decide to do and how you're doing.

Love, Sharon :)
