Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD) (CRPS) Board Index

Well, I had my first block this week, and I haven't noticed much of anything. I had a stellate gangillion block. I didn't get any sedation only numbing of the area. I am glad they at least numbed the area up. My doc told me that most doctors don't even do the numbing. I told him "You go right ahead and numb up that area." So what does that mean for me in regards to a diagnosis? Do I not have RSD since I didn't have much of a response to the block? If I had anything at all it was minor relief, I really don't think I had any response to it.

My symptoms are burning if front of my ear and face due to TMJ surgery in March of 2003. My symptoms started about six weeks after surgery. I am taking Neurontin 900 mg four times a day and Keppra 500 mg two tabs twice a day. It just takes the edge off my pain. I don't know what I am going to do except maybe go to Mayo Clinic in the fall. I am out of ideas. Anyone have any thoughts, because I need some input. Oh yeah, I also found out this week I have rhuematoid arthritis and raynaud's disease. This week really bites.
