Anita-

You mentioned the lumbar injection, but you don't want to go with this guy who doesn't use flouroscopy. I know your Kaiser; there is a doc(Anast) at Kaiser, Martinez, Dr. Andrew Maher, who knows about rsd and uses flouroscopy. I saw him. He was pretty good.

Hi Michelle,
I don't blame you for taking a break. All these doc appts wore me out too. I am so sick and tired of all these doc appts and procedure appts. I remembered you are not on w/c after i wrote. I am on my 14 or 15 sessions of oxygen therapy. They are helpful but not as much as i would like to. It has been tough to go there almost every morning. I left my house around 7:15 am and the therapy started at around 8am and furnish around 10 am then go to work. I will go for 20 sessions and then see whether i should continue or not. You should take a break and whenever you are ready, pursue treatment again.
Sherry,
All blocks and treatment pertaining to RSD thus far, i had obtained out side of Kaiser. Kaiser offered nothing except biofeedback which i started last week. Dr. Chang did not see me because he did not offer second opinion. I called the Martinez clinic and i was told i could ask my primary to make a referral but they were not sure whether or not they would offer a consultation as they are too busy with their patients. So as far as Kaiser goes, I am not sure what to do at this point. I am kind of give up on them. I will discontinue Kaiser effective 1/08. Thanks for telling me about Dr. Maher. I may ask my primary to make a referral. One thing is difficult for me is the commute to Martinez because of my pelvic pain. Did you try the laser treatment? How did it go? Any relief!
Take care!
Anita

Sherry,
I don't understand why Kaiser does not offer me anything except biofeedback. Perhaps it is because the doc in PM did not dx me with RSD. He just said my symptoms were resulted from trauma. This was not indicated in his report. I am sure no doc in Kaiser system want to dx with RSD because i got RSD from the painful IV there. That was the reason why i went ahead to see outside docs.
Did Kaiser doc dx you with RSD? Did you just see Kaiser doc and tell them you had RSD and then they started to treat you? I am wondering how come you can obtain treatment but not me.
Ericka,
Sorry to hear that you had RSD when you are so young. I am encouraged by your positive spirit. Are you getting your SCS?
Anita
